Wisdom of the Elders

Our Story

Founded in 1993 by Lakota medicine man Martin High Bear and Deg Hitan Dine and Inupiat Rose High Bear, Wisdom of the Elders is dedicated to preserving the rich oral history and cultural arts of Native American elders. The organization focuses on cultural sustainability, multimedia education, and fostering cultural reconciliation.
