Our Story

The Wisconsin Women’s Network was founded by influential leaders, including Kathryn Clarenbach, to enhance the status of women in Wisconsin. Established after the disbandment of the Wisconsin Commission on the Status of Women in 1979, the organization addresses barriers to women's full participation in society.

Our Impact

Since its inception, the Wisconsin Women’s Network has played a crucial role in advancing women's rights, including the successful implementation of the Marital Property Reform Act in 1984 and a 29% increase in women appointed to office within the first decade.
