Our Story
The Hmong people played a crucial role in aiding the Americans during the Vietnam War, leading many to seek refuge in the United States. In Wisconsin, over 6,000 Hmong residents have settled, particularly in Dane County. Recognizing the cultural and linguistic barriers faced by these refugees, a group of Hmong clan leaders established the Wisconsin Hmong Association in 1987. This nonprofit has evolved to not only provide traditional assistance but also to foster collaboration between businesses and organizations and the Hmong community, ensuring a smooth transition into American society.
