Our Story

The Metropolitan Milwaukee Fair Housing Council was founded in 1977 by a group of 40 dedicated citizens who recognized the urgent need to address racial and economic segregation in housing. With a commitment to promoting fair housing throughout Wisconsin, MMFHC operates a comprehensive fair housing program, including satellite offices in Greater Madison and Northeast Wisconsin.

MMFHC has achieved remarkable success in assisting clients facing housing discrimination, with over 650 lawsuits filed and a success rate exceeding 98%.
