Our Story

Established in 1986 by the Winthrop Board of Selectmen, Winthrop Community Access Television, Inc. (WCAT) serves as the designated access provider for the Town of Winthrop. Operating independently from the Town and the cable company, WCAT runs three local access channels: Public Access Channel 3, Educational Access Channel 15, and Municipal Access Channel 22. The mission is to empower residents to create programming that reflects the community's diverse voices and experiences.
