Founded in 2011, Winthrop Arts Inc. began as a way to manage the Winthrop Art Festival. As the festival flourished, so did the community's desire for artistic engagement, leading to the establishment of Winthrop Arts as a nationally recognized nonprofit organization in September 2015.
