Our Story
Established in 1991 by a diverse group of Windsor community members, Windsor Service Alliance (WSA) began its mission to combat hunger in Windsor, California. Initially sharing space with Windsor Seniors in Action, WSA quickly evolved into the cornerstone nonprofit it is today, shaped and driven by a steadfast, ever-changing roster of community volunteers. Every week, for over 32 years, WSA volunteers donate hundreds of hours gleaning food, sorting, bagging, and boxing, and delivering it to those in need.
The Northern California Firestorms of 2017 required WSA to expand its services, and it began serving all of Sonoma County to meet the growing need. With the onset of COVID-19, many local food pantries folded or condensed their services, quadrupling WSA's client list by mid-2021. Today, WSA Pantry stands as one of the largest food pantries in the North Bay.
