Our Story
The Children's Museum of Wilmington was founded in 1991 by a dedicated group of local parents who envisioned a vibrant, hands-on learning center for children. After years of community involvement and planning, the museum opened its doors in 1997 and has since expanded to accommodate a growing number of visitors and educational programs, relocating to historic downtown Wilmington in 2004.
