Our Story

Founded in 1982 by Althea Pratt-Broome, Willowbrook Center for the Arts began as a summer camp at the historic Sweek House in Tualatin. With just 20 children and 10 volunteers, the camp focused on alternative education and arts programming. As demand grew, the camp relocated to Brown’s Ferry Park in 1992, continuing its mission to nurture creativity and community among children.

Impact

Willowbrook plays a crucial role in helping children reach their creative potential, fostering independence, creativity, and empathy.
