Our Story

In the late 1980s, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, became a haven for artists drawn by affordable rents and proximity to Manhattan. In 1996, artist Yuko Nii transformed the historic Kings County Savings Bank Building into the Williamsburg Art & Historical Center, a multicultural art center dedicated to connecting diverse artistic communities.

Impact

The WAH Center has produced over 200 fine art exhibitions featuring more than 3,000 artists, significantly enriching the cultural landscape of Williamsburg and beyond.
