Founded in 1996, the William A. Lawson Institute for Peace and Prosperity (WALIPP) was established to honor Rev. William "Bill" Lawson's 50 years of dedicated service to the community. This nonprofit organization focuses on ensuring equity and inclusion for all residents, particularly youth, seniors, and low-income individuals in Houston.
