Our Story

Founded in 2003 by David A. Kidd in Canton, Ohio, the Wildlife Habitat Conservancy emerged from a successful initiative to distribute 3 million tree seedlings. Recognizing the urgent need to protect unused land for wildlife habitats, WHC has since acquired several parcels of land, ensuring these vital greenspaces are preserved for future generations.

Our Impact

WHC has successfully preserved multiple acres of land, including a 1.5-acre wooded area and a 2.8-acre wetland, providing essential habitats for wildlife and recreational spaces for the community.
