Our Story
On March 20th, 1999, a small group of 20 individuals gathered to plant willows around Heron Pond at Pella Crossing, near Longmont, Colorado. This humble beginning sparked the growth of Wildlands Restoration Volunteers (WRV), a dedicated corps of thousands who contribute nearly $1 million worth of time and expertise annually. Today, WRV leads over 150 projects each year, fostering a diverse Youth and Inclusiveness Program alongside a comprehensive volunteer leadership development initiative.
Our Impact
With over 2,000 completed projects and 63,000 engaged volunteers, WRV has contributed an astounding $15 million in volunteer time and expertise to restore Colorado's natural areas.
