Our Story

In 1971, Jeff Morris founded Wild Ops after reflecting on his missed opportunity to serve in the military. His journey began with Joni and Friends, a ministry for people with disabilities, where he recognized the urgent need for support among disabled veterans. This realization led to the creation of the Joni and Friends Wounded Warrior Getaway, highlighting the importance of healing for combat veterans. Wild Ops was established to provide a safe environment for veterans to connect and heal through outdoor adventures, fostering lifelong fellowship.
