Our Story

The Wild Bird Fund is a state and federally licensed nonprofit organization dedicated to rehabilitating sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife in New York City. With a mission to provide medical care and rehabilitation to both native and migratory wildlife, the organization ensures these animals can be released back into their natural habitats.

Impact

Each year, the Wild Bird Fund rehabilitates over 9,500 animals, treating more than 180 species, including both common birds and rarities. This vital work not only heals injured wildlife but also fosters a sense of environmental responsibility within the community.
