Our Story

Founded in 1986, Widows Harvest Ministries is dedicated to addressing the critical needs of widows, particularly in housing and home maintenance. Based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the organization began by focusing on the home repair needs of older, low-income, African American widows. Over the years, the mission has expanded to include building homes for homeless widows in Kenya through Widows Harvest Africa, emphasizing service to widows as a form of worship and faithfulness to God.

Since its inception, Widows Harvest Ministries has made significant improvements in the lives of thousands of widows by completing major and minor repairs on homes in Chattanooga and constructing homes for widows in Kenya.
