Wide Open Charitable Foundation

Our Story

Established on July 14, 2010, the Wide Open Charitable Foundation (WOCF) was inspired by the courageous battle of William Richard Bunn against Neuroblastoma. This foundation is dedicated to fundraising for research into Neuroblastoma and other childhood cancers, while also providing support to children and families facing these challenges. By partnering with UNC Children's Hospital, WOCF aims to ensure that families can stay together during their most difficult times, offering them memorable experiences through event tickets, dining gift cards, and more.

Impact

Since its inception, WOCF has raised and donated over $300,000 to N.C. Children's Promise and UNC Children's Hospital for Neuroblastoma research. Additionally, over $30,000 has been provided to families in need, and more than $40,000 in toys and games has been donated to pediatric patients at UNC Children's Hospital and Wake Med Hospital.
