Our Story

Founded in 1974 during the Vietnam War, Wide Horizons for Children began as a nutrition center for orphans. Established by Don and Marilyn Scott, the organization has evolved to focus on preventing children from becoming orphans by supporting at-risk families and creating nurturing environments for orphaned children.

Since its inception, Wide Horizons for Children has positively impacted over 1,000,000 individuals, preventing 25,000 children from becoming orphans and transforming the lives of 25,000 families through child sponsorship and support services.
