Our Story
Founded in the 1920s and reformed in 1947, the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra is a cultural cornerstone in North Texas. With a talented roster of approximately 70 professional musicians, the WFSO presents a diverse range of classical and pops concerts, inviting renowned guest artists to perform. The orchestra is dedicated to making music accessible to all, offering reduced-price tickets for families, students, military personnel, and seniors, while providing complimentary tickets to active airmen and women from Sheppard Air Force Base.
Through collaborations with local arts organizations, the WFSO delivers free small-ensemble performances throughout the community. Additionally, partnerships with the Wichita Falls Independent School District and the Wichita Falls Youth Symphony Orchestra allow the WFSO to enrich the lives of over 3,500 students annually through in-school concerts and music education initiatives.
