Our Story

On September 6th, 2018, Whitney Austin survived a mass shooting at Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio, after being shot 12 times. This harrowing experience ignited a passion for change, leading to the co-founding of WhitneyStrong, a nonprofit organization committed to combating gun violence through responsible gun ownership and advocacy.

Impact

WhitneyStrong has made significant strides in reducing gun violence, distributing 12,000 gun locks, engaging in 75 meetings with lawmakers, and training over 200 individuals on firearm safety and suicide prevention.
