Our Story
Founded in 1928, the White Sabers Drum & Bugle Corps has a rich history rooted in the vibrant community of Rochester, New York. Originally established as a parade corps by the commander of the American Legion Post #87, the corps has evolved significantly over the decades. After gaining independence in 1957, the corps became known as the Dansville White Sabers, performing in concerts and parades. A revival in 1994 sparked renewed interest, leading to the corps' reactivation in 2004. Since joining the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) in 2005, the White Sabers have achieved remarkable success, including two Class A World Championships in 2013 and 2014, and a transition to the newly formed World Class in 2022. The corps continues to inspire and engage audiences with its dedication to excellence in the performing arts.
