Our Story

The White River Valley Museum was born from the passion of local townspeople in the 1950s who wanted to share their regional history. This vision led to the formation of the White River Valley Historical Society and the establishment of a small museum in Thomas. In the late 1960s, with the support of the City of Auburn, the museum relocated to Les Gove Park, where it continues to thrive today under the guidance of a dedicated 17-member board.

Impact

The Museum plays a vital role in preserving and sharing the rich history of the South King County area, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of local heritage through engaging exhibits and educational programs.
