Established in 1997 by the White Earth Tribal Council, White Earth Tribal and Community College (WETCC) began its journey in a modest two-room building in Mahnomen, Minnesota. With just 14 tribal students, WETCC has grown into a vital educational institution dedicated to serving the Anishinaabe people. Achieving full accreditation in 2008, the college has expanded its facilities to better meet the needs of its students and community.
WETCC plays a crucial role in supporting the self-determination of the Anishinaabe people by preserving and promoting their rich history, culture, and language.
