Our Story

Founded in 1970, White Bird Clinic emerged from a grassroots movement aimed at addressing the needs of marginalized youth and young adults in Eugene, Oregon. A dedicated group of medical professionals, students, and community members recognized the urgent need for accessible healthcare and support services for those who felt alienated from traditional systems. This vision led to the establishment of a 24/7 socio-medical aid station, where individuals could receive compassionate care without judgment or financial barriers.

Impact in the Community

White Bird Clinic has become a cornerstone of the community, providing essential services such as crisis intervention, medical and dental care, and behavioral health support. The clinic's vaccination project was recently honored at the White House for its commitment to vaccine equity, particularly for underserved populations including the homeless, BIPOC, and LGBTQA+ communities. With over 7,200 inoculations administered, White Bird continues to make a significant impact in the fight against COVID-19.
