Our Story
Founded in the 1950s by local sailor W.G. (Bill) Graves, Jr., the White Bear Sailing School began with a simple mission: to teach youth the art of sailing on White Bear Lake. Over the decades, the school has grown from 25 students to approximately 300 annually, becoming a cornerstone of the community's sailing culture. Incorporated as a public non-profit in 1980, the school has expanded its fleet and facilities through generous donations and fundraising efforts.
