Our Story

The Weymouth Food Pantry was established in 1987 by a dedicated group of citizens committed to alleviating hunger in their community. Starting in an old schoolhouse at the Church of Immaculate Conception, the pantry has evolved into a vital resource for thousands of families in Weymouth, Massachusetts, providing essential food assistance and educational programs.

Our Impact

Each year, the Weymouth Food Pantry distributes over 840,000 pounds of food, serving approximately 3,610 individuals at any given time. With 450 to 600 families receiving support monthly, the pantry plays a crucial role in addressing food insecurity in a community where 1 in 10 residents struggles to afford food.
