Our Story

Westonwood Ranch was founded by Lindy Wood, a devoted mother who recognized the unique bond her son, Weston, shared with nature and animals. After relocating to Freeport, Florida, in search of better services for autism, Lindy discovered that Weston, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the age of two, thrived in a nurturing environment surrounded by nature. From his early days of exploring the family garden to forming connections with horses, Weston’s journey inspired the creation of Westonwood Ranch.

At Westonwood Ranch, the mission is clear: to provide young individuals with autism the opportunity to learn self-reliance, life skills, and employable skills in a holistic farm setting. The ranch serves as a sanctuary where individuals can grow, learn, and contribute to society, fostering a sense of value and belonging.
