Our Story

In 1943, Weston resident Austin Sherman Hale initiated a heartfelt connection with local youth serving in World War II through a weekly letter titled "Here and There Because We Care." This simple act of kindness fostered a sense of community and support, as letters poured in from around the globe, expressing gratitude for the connection to home. The Weston Boosters organized a celebration to honor returning veterans, and over seventy years later, this spirit of support continues.

Impact on Youth

Today, Weston Boosters remains dedicated to enhancing the lives of students by funding co-curricular activities and college scholarships. With over 50% of Weston High School and Middle School students participating in sports, the skills learned on the field translate into academic success, fostering well-rounded individuals.
