Our Story
More than 30 years ago, parishioners at Christ Episcopal Church in Winchester, Virginia, recognized the need for a premier retirement community. They adopted the Westminster-Canterbury model, supported by both the Episcopal and Presbyterian churches. Generous donations, including land from Mr. and Mrs. William H. Lawrence, Jr., laid the foundation for a thriving campus that has expanded to 87 acres. Since welcoming its first residents in 1987, the community has continued to grow, with many original leaders and their families actively supporting its mission.
