Our Story

Founded in June 1900, the Western Washington University Foundation has a rich history of fostering connections between alumni and the university. The first graduates of the Washington State Normal School at Whatcom established the first alumni association, which has evolved over the years into a robust network of support. From the early traditions of class plays and banquets to the formal organization of the alumni association in 1906, the foundation has always prioritized the growth and success of its members. Today, the Foundation for WWU & Alumni continues this legacy, enhancing support for students and alumni alike.
