Our Story

Founded in 1965, Western South Dakota Community Action, Inc. is dedicated to addressing poverty-related challenges across 15 counties in western South Dakota. Initially established to combat the War on Poverty in Rapid City, the organization has expanded its reach to provide essential services and support to low-income individuals and families.

Impact

WSDCAA assists over 12,000 low-income individuals annually, representing about 45 percent of the poverty population in its service area. The organization plays a crucial role in bridging the financial gap faced by these households.
