Our Story
Founded in 1993, the Western Reserve Community Fund Inc (WRCF) emerged from the Summit County Port Authority's vision to revitalize abandoned rail lines for future transportation needs. Recognizing the potential for economic growth, the organization shifted its focus towards job creation and development finance. In 2012, the name was changed to reflect its broader mission, and since then, WRCF has expanded its financial services to include energy efficiency financing and community-based lending.
