Our Story
In the winter of 1935, a group of dedicated individuals in Western New York recognized the critical need for safety promotion and education in the workplace. This vision led to the establishment of the Western New York Safety Conference, with the late Frank Redmond serving as the first general chairman. The inaugural conference and exhibit in Spring 1936 marked the beginning of a proud legacy aimed at reducing workplace injuries and illnesses.
Over the decades, the conference has evolved into a vital platform for exchanging safety, health, and environmental information. It serves first-line supervisors, workers, and company administrators responsible for safety and health. Today, the Western New York Safety Conference is esteemed by both employers and employees for its significant contributions to workplace safety and public health.
