Our Story
The Western Montana Chapter for the Prevention of Elder Abuse was established in 2000 by Adult Protective Services and local professionals in Missoula. This initiative aimed to provide essential payee and guardianship services to vulnerable individuals unable to manage their finances. With the support of AmeriCorps and Vista Volunteers, the Chapter has expanded its fundraising and educational efforts. Under the leadership of Cindy Shott, a dedicated attorney, the Chapter has grown significantly, introducing new clients and staff to enhance its services.
