Our Story

The Western Connecticut Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society was established in April 1953 in Stamford, Connecticut. This dedicated group is committed to preserving the rich history and artifacts of railroading in America through various activities, including monthly meetings and the operation of the SoNo Switch Tower Museum.

Impact

By operating the SoNo Switch Tower Museum, the Chapter provides interpretive displays and narration about signaling and train control, educating the public about railroad history and preservation.
