Our Story

Founded in 2000 by advocate Lisa Diehl, West Virginia Women Work (WVWW) addresses the challenges women face in nontraditional employment. The organization offers a tuition-free skilled trades training program called Step Up for Women, which has expanded to include various skilled trades, earning recognition from the Department of Labor.

Our Impact

WVWW empowers women to overcome barriers to education and employment, equipping them with the skills needed for high-demand careers in nontraditional fields. This initiative not only transforms individual lives but also contributes to the economic growth of communities across West Virginia.
