West Virginia Recovers is a statewide, peer-operated behavioral health advocacy and education organization dedicated to creating trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and recovery-oriented services. Founded with the support of peers and allies, the organization emerged from the West Virginia P.E.E.R. Summit in 2017, aiming to inspire hope, health, and community.
WV Recovers has provided over 933 hours of continuing education units (CEUs) to hundreds of attendees, enhancing the skills of peer support specialists across the state. The organization has also established a statewide peer recovery network, improving access to vital peer support services.
