Our Story

The West Springfield Environmental Committee was founded in 2005 by the late Diane Crowell to develop a recycling program for the town. By 2008, this initiative was successfully completed, leading the committee to focus on land conservation and management, particularly in the Bear Hole Reservoir Watershed and Mittineague Park.

Impact

Engaging over 1,000 students annually through the Student Environmental Education Classroom (SEEC), the committee provides hands-on environmental education and field trips to local natural areas. Additionally, it maintains over 20 miles of trails and organizes community clean-up events.

Why Donate?

Your donations support the SEEC program, ensuring environmental education is provided at no cost to taxpayers, while also funding trail maintenance and community clean-up initiatives.
