The West Side Citizens Organization empowers the community of St. Paul’s West Side to build collective power and advocate for justice and racial equity. With over 50 years of dedicated service, this organization envisions a united, self-reliant community where everyone is connected, safe, healthy, and successful.

Impact

Over the past five decades, the West Side Citizens Organization has achieved remarkable milestones, including saving Humboldt High School and the Riverview Library, ensuring the High Bridge was rebuilt, and maintaining public access to Harriet Island. The organization has effectively shut down toxic polluters and held developers accountable, fostering a network of neighbors committed to housing justice, equitable development, and environmental justice.
