Our Story

Founded in 1983 by a group of concerned individuals, the West Seattle Food Bank began as the Junction Community Food Bank, distributing food from the old Jefferson School. After merging with the West Seattle Helpline in 2020, the organization has expanded its reach and services, including food distribution, rent and utilities assistance, and clothing services.
