Our Story

Driven by the belief that all children deserve safety and the opportunity to thrive, the West Michigan Partnership for Children (WMPC) has been at the forefront of an innovative foster care model since its launch in 2017. This initiative is the result of a dedicated collaboration among professionals, community leaders, and legislators, making WMPC the only private entity in Michigan overseeing a network of foster care and service providers.

Our Impact

WMPC ensures that children removed from their homes due to abandonment, abuse, or neglect are placed in safe, family-like settings. With a focus on culturally responsive and trauma-informed services, WMPC prioritizes family preservation and reunification, striving to empower families and reduce the time children spend in the welfare system.
