Since 2007, West Michigan Flight Academy has been dedicated to providing economically disadvantaged urban and rural youth with opportunities to pursue advanced technical careers in Aviation and Aerospace. Collaborating with schools and community organizations, WMFA inspires students to engage with math, science, technology, and engineering through the lens of aviation.
Last year, over 250 students experienced the thrill of flying in a WMFA plane, many for the first time! WMFA proudly served classrooms in Grand Rapids Public Schools, Plainwell Community Schools, and Muskegon Public Schools, enrolling approximately 270 students.
