Our Story

The West Contra Costa Public Education Fund, founded in 1983, emerged in response to the funding crisis in public education following Proposition 13. This organization has evolved to foster community partnerships that enhance resources for students in the West Contra Costa Unified School District, focusing on equity and justice in education.

Impact

With nearly $700,000 raised for the WCCUSD Covid-19 Response Fund and $1.6 million in scholarships awarded since 2005, the Ed Fund has significantly impacted thousands of students. Over $250,000 has been mobilized for district-wide STEM programming, alongside vital support for literacy initiatives.
