The Well of Waterford

Our Story

The Well of Waterford is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving as a daytime gathering place for women and girls. Established through a community effort, this Victorian house was transformed into a welcoming space, particularly for those in the foster care system. Founded by Dana, who recognized the need for support among women and girls who have experienced trauma, The Well opened its doors in 2017, offering programs that reinforce their worth and provide a safe environment for healing.

Impact

Each month, The Well reaches over 200 women and girls, providing vital support to those in rehabilitation facilities and residential care. Through partnerships with local churches and organizations, the programs create memorable experiences that foster healing and personal growth, significantly impacting the lives of at-risk girls and women in the community.
