Founded in 2009, We Don’t Waste is dedicated to combating food waste and hunger in Colorado. As one of the largest food recovery organizations in the state, the mission focuses on rescuing perishable items like fresh produce, lean proteins, and dairy products. These foods not only have a shorter shelf life but also significantly impact the environment. By redistributing these items, We Don’t Waste provides essential nutrition to families in need, especially those living in food deserts.

Supporting We Don’t Waste means aiding over 100 trusted nonprofits in Denver that fight hunger daily. The organization recovers excess food from local businesses and distributes it at no cost to soup kitchens, food pantries, schools, and more, changing countless lives in the process.
