Our Story

Founded in 2010 by Ofonime Anusionwu, weCare Initiative for Africa was born from a vision to empower marginalized children in rural sub-Saharan Africa. With a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Ofonime dedicated her life to using education as a powerful tool against poverty. Supported by a passionate team, weCare Africa ignites dialogue on sustainable poverty alleviation, focusing on the importance of education for children, especially girls. Since its inception, the organization has awarded numerous scholarships and provided essential aid to orphanages and rural communities in Nigeria.

Our Impact

weCare Africa is committed to alleviating poverty by providing quality educational opportunities to under-served rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa. The organization has developed various programs aimed at empowering children and youth, ensuring they have the tools to rise above poverty and become self-reliant.
