Our Story
Founded on May 5, 1993, Weber Human Services Foundation was established by Ms. Zada Haws, a dedicated educator and community leader. With a rich background in teaching and community service, Zada's journey began in the segregated schools of Blytheville, Arkansas, and later transitioned to Ogden, Utah. Her passion for helping others led her to become the first female Community School Director in the nation. After retiring, Zada became a Prevention Specialist for Weber Human Services, where she envisioned a nonprofit organization to support community needs.
Through her relentless efforts, Zada rallied local agencies and friends to promote the Foundation, culminating in the first golf tournament that has since evolved into the largest annual fundraiser. Zada's legacy continues to thrive, impacting countless lives in the community.
