In 2011, Lori Colon's quest for enriching family experiences led to a transformative visit to C.O.S.I in Columbus. This inspired the creation of a community space where children can explore and learn through play. Established as a nonprofit in February 2020, the Wayne County Children's S.T.E.A.M. Playlab broke ground on June 6, 2021, in Dalton, Ohio, aiming to provide a vibrant, hands-on learning environment for children of all ages.
