Watts of Power Foundation is dedicated to establishing educational institutions for foster youth, first-generation, and low-income students in high poverty areas. The foundation focuses on creating a pipeline of Black male teachers to enhance recruitment and retention of Black professionals in education.
In its pilot year, the foundation successfully trained 5 new Black male pre-service teachers and positively impacted over 520 students in Los Angeles, California. The vision is to train 120 new Black male educators over the next decade.
