Our Story

Watersheds of South Pittsburgh emerged from the recognition that disinvestment in the Saw Mill Run Valley was linked to flooding and poor water quality. In 2014, the Saw Mill Run Watershed Association was formed to advocate for sustainable land use and improve water quality. Partnering with the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority, a comprehensive plan was developed to revitalize the watershed, transforming neglected waterways into thriving ecosystems.

Our Impact

Dedicated to enhancing urban streams, Watersheds of South Pittsburgh promotes climate resilience through education and advocacy, turning waterways into community assets.
